Misunderstanding has consequences
Direct communication may be judged as rude, movement as disruptive or overload as bad behaviour. These interpretations can lead to exclusion.
Inclusion is practical
Predictable information, flexible communication, sensory access and genuine choice make schools, services and communities work better for many people.
Believe lived experience
Autistic people are experts in their own experience. Listening to them improves decisions and reduces assumptions.
